It’s always been said that he who controls all the information will eventually control all the gold. I think in the information age, and in the era of big data it is becoming more and more so evident. Those who can comb through the billions of web pages, and tens of billions of tweets will have a pretty good idea on what society is thinking. Having this knowledge over their competitors in business gives them abundant opportunity. The same thing goes for politicians, especially those politicians who have people behind the scenes using all this data to help write speeches.
Many of the greatest politicians in history are said to have read two or three newspapers every single day. They definitely had a pulse on the minds of the people. Now then, as long as these great politicians were loyal patriots and statesman everything probably would be okay. However, we know that many of the great politicians didn’t turn out so good, and they used this knowledge of where their society was at, and what it was thinking to manipulate the people into doing their bidding, each time garnering more power and control.
What if we used algorithms and supercomputers to sort through all the data, all the tweets, and all the information in real-time? What if it processed all that information creating words and paragraphs for Teleprompter? What if the politician read that Teleprompter as that information was being processed in real-time, each sentence, and word in the next sentence to be read would be changing, as it was gauging the will of the people? Yes, this might seem like a very scary thought.
Still, I think you know that we do have the computational power and massive inflow of real-time data to do this. Therefore you shouldn’t consider what I’m saying to be a joke, I am making a real suggestion here. If a politician was making a speech and hitting high points, another paragraph could be added to that peak performance, even if he were just saying the words again in a slightly different configuration. In this regard he would be tapping into the minds of the people as the computer system got real-time feedback.
This is how I would use data sorting algorithms to write uniting speeches to bring our country together, and allow our politicians to stay on track. Indeed, it would also be a learning experience for them as well. They would be reading back to the people what the people were trying to say to them. Interesting isn’t it? Yes, I thought you’d like this idea. So please consider it all and think on it.
